Reflections To End 2016

Into the penultimate day of the year. Twenty four hours remain before the sands of time runs out on the eve. An appropriate period to meditate and reflect on the past. And not just limit it to the previous calendar year.

On this occasion, due to recent happenings that has occurred within this final quarter, I found particular focus on the past half decade. In the final analysis, though there was joy to be found, there were also instances of regrets. Sadly, the latter cannot be undone. It is history.

The question I now face is this. Is the opportunity still there? Does it still exist? Or is it already too late to salvage and conjure up that one privilege that I now seek to redefine the future of my life and I? One that I may have awaken too late to realise.

It is all in God's hands now. For all of what I seek has chosen to be hidden in Him. Thus, the path to whether the hidden will be revealed and availed will be also only through Him and none other. To be deserving or undeserving, He will decide. If I am to be worthy, my courage to face inner demons has to arise to make a stand now against the conflicts that has cost me dearly in the past. Without such resolution, there will be no forgiveness of thy self, nor the healing.

Into the new year I will walk. A year of uncertainty for certain. Be brave, be fearless to challenge the shrouds of bleakness before you, I tell myself. Be bold to ask the Lord for strength to strive for what you want. For what I desire is the immeasurable treasure of the hidden and a lifetime in union with her to serve our Lord God, the Almighty.

May He hear my prayers.
May He heed my pleas.
This I ask in the name of my beloved Christ.

Amen.

Jasmine

I have good reason, I think...
Nay, I have motivation.
I have conviction to dare seek.

I have cause to review past decisions.
Realign directions.
To chart purposeful new course ahead.

I possess new breaths of hope to now expect better.
To resurrect lifeless existence.
To reclaim a modicum of happiness and joy for life.

I have renewal.
Indeed, I have.
When I have your presence.

Thank you, Lord. Thank you for your grace.

Year 2015. What day? Which day?

The day before today was yesterday.
The day before tomorrow is today.
But the day after today is not just another day.
For it is New Year's Day.

And so a new year begins.
A new story book, a new chapter, a new Page One.
So, may the tale that is spun,
Turn into a rollicking good ol' yarn.

Happy New Year, friends. #2015 #AuldLangSyne

For 2015....

It is the Year 2015.

Upon a wish for justice I would make,
And a claim on equality I would stake.
A miracle no less difficult it would be,
A task no less different it will be.
Impossible till this day,
Improbable too, but to this age it keeps.

I then pondered out aloud,
Should peace and harmony be what I should shout.
But alas, pessimism spoke just as loud,
As I questioned all that this is about.
Wishful thinking it remains,
So long as politicians and warmongers we do not tame.

Narrowed choices are these that remains;
Faith, hope and love.
So long as God abandons not,
His abundance we will have in lot.
May we ever be so bold,
To these promises we should hold.

Happy New Year 2015, everyone.

Ill-fitting Misfit

Finding joy playing in the rain...

The rain.
It splatters.
Within old world surroundings,
Flashbacks of my childhood.

A misfit I have become...

I miss the old KL.
I belonged then.
No longer now.
An ill-fit this city has turned.

Relationships

Relationships are bonds.
The cord that ties one to another.
And in that process, also binds one down
with only a certain amount of allowable slack
that's adequate to let one move, think and emote freely.
But, as stipulated, only as far as up to certain specified boundaries.

While typical western or oriental philosophies may overlap
and concur in advocating this form of anchoring
(and the masses traditionally laps it up
as the pragmatic and truthful approach to life)
the reality is this bond is also what holds one back
from blossoming and expressing life to the hilt.
In light of this, we may as well acknowledge it
to be an invisible ball and chain strapped around our left ankle.

It's a simple thing to surmise, really.
A choice.
A choice of deciding between ball and chain
or of being liberated into a free spirit.
I've long chosen,
and have long walked the path of the latter.
Thankfully, I was not alone.
I walked it with Jesus,
my Lord, my God, my saviour.

Amen.

The Land of Thieves and Murderers

I live in a land of thieves and of murderers.
Ruled by yet another set of thieves and murderers,
Who equals or exceeds the prior.

Judged by umpires and officials, both inept and corrupt.
Whence justice and equality is more equal for the some,
And lesser for the not-some, ala Orwellian 'Animal Farm'.

I live in a land where opportunities are not based upon merits,
But favour dependent on the 'Who' that you know.
Or the palm that you otherwise grease.

I live in a land immoral and sinful.
I live in a land depraved.
I live in a land in fear of itself.
Of what tomorrow brings.

Ode To An Orange Moon (Part II: The Closing Chapter)

Tonight....

"A long time ago,
A half orange moon I gazed.

 A moment in impulse then,
A pen I grasped in hand.

 A prose I scribed,
A match in you it described.

 A dandelion t'was for then.
A dandelion so too this is for now.

 A wait too long.
 A goodbye, a farewell song.

 A-Mei's 趁早"

The Activist: The Financial System

The Financial System is a Machine That Destroys Our Souls

In Capitalism, Consumerism, Debt Prison, IMF-WorldBank-Wall Street- Complex, The Financial System on August 21, 2011at 11:28 pm

How do we take our lives back from the hands of the bankers and bondholders? We must fight for our own minds. We must fight for our own visions, we must fight for authenticity, for freedom in every form and fashion. We must fight against the forces of stability, the vampirism of a financial system based on usurping our hopes and passions. We must fight against the ignorant cycling of capital on the back of human misery. We must fight for our lives back, we must break the exploitive contract, we do not want your house, we do not want your false dreams. We want freedom, we want justice, we want to feed the starving children.

We do not want your luxurious cars or your mansions, we do not want your false hopes, we want basic rights for every individual on earth. We want basic justice for every human being on this planet.

We do not want your weapons programs funded by our very tax money. We do not want your images plastered on the television.

Down with injustice, down with a mass media that sugarcoats the heinous truth. Down with a psychological environment which turns human beings into silent consumers of their inner self.

We have mortgaged our lives and now we sit and wait for our lives to improve, we must stop waiting and take our lives back. We must extract our hearts and souls out of the mass media machine. We must extricate our very being out of the cycles of capital which are meant to distract us, consume us and reduce us to wanton beasts.
